3 QUICK NATURAL REMEDIES FOR TOOTH PAIN

Below are three most popular and effective home remedies for tooth pain.

1.           CLOVE

Clove in English, Kanafuru in Yoruba, Kloovu in Igbo and albasa in Hausa. Clove is cheap and easy to get.

Cloves have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant and anesthetic properties that help alleviate tooth pain and fight infection.

How to Use Clove
Take 3 to 4 pieces cloves and place them on and around the affected area for several minutes until they soften than chew them with the tooth that is giving pain.

Another method of using clove is grind four whole cloves. Mix in a little olive oil or any vegetable oil and dab cotton ball in the clove oil and rub it directly on the affected tooth.

Do not allow the Clove oil to come in contact with other sensitive areas of your mouth, it may hurt you.

2.         SALT WATER TREATMENT


Salt water will clean out an infected area, help reduce swelling, inflammation, loosening debris and also fight the bacteria that cause infection.

How to Use Salt Water
Mix half a spoon of common salt in a glass of hot water and use it to Swish/rinse your mouth thoroughly for 30 seconds.

The cleansing effect of the salt can get rid of some nasty bacteria, but salt water rinses provide no long-term benefits.

3.         GARLIC


Garlic can also provide immense relief from toothache. Garlic acts similarly to an antibiotic, and it can inhibit the growth of bacteria that is attacking your tooth. Use of Garlic can be very effective in reducing the tooth pain.

How to Use Garlic
There are two ways in which you can use it, you can put two clove of garlic into your mouth and chew them with the tooth that is giving pain or mash a garlic clove and a dash of salt, and apply the paste to the throbbing tooth.


Note: While many people swear by these home remedies, the truth is none are scientifically proven to ease your tooth pain in the long term. The only way to successfully treat a toothache is to go to your dentist, to diagnose the problem and treat the cause.
